Nakatosh House owners Dennis and Jami are a father-in-law and daughter in-law duo who teamed up to create a vacation home in the heart of Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Both Natchitoches natives, Dennis is retired from UPS and Jami is a full-time nurse. Dennis also raised thoroughbred horses for around 25 years.

Over the past 15 years, Dennis and Jami would mention their interest to one another about how it would be nice to create a vacation rental because they each knew the value of a great location thanks to the vacations they’ve taken with their own families.

In the past few years, it became a real conversation. Once the search began, they knew location would be the key factor. While the original idea was to start their business venture with a smaller property, Dennis and Jami couldn’t pass up the 1923 historic gem when they saw it was for sale.

What started as a small idea turned into a 4 bedroom, 4 bath dream rental with a guest house too!

The Nakatosh House & Guest House was purchased in August of 2022 and opened in October of the same year. Dennis and Jami, partners in business, became partners in crime as they scoured estate sales to find the perfect pieces to decorate the house with.

Sleeping up to 12 guests, each bedroom has its own bathroom. There are also 4 fireplaces to warm yourself by when the nights turn cold. The guest house, featuring one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchenette can be rented on its own, or together with the main house.

Only 3.5 blocks from the brick paved Front Street, the location lends itself to a stroll down picturesque streets among other historic houses.
